Presbytery

 

This beautifully restored family home was originally the presbytery for the priests from the Chappelle of Locmaria opposite. The current owners had searched for their ideal home in the area without success, before discovering the project which was to become their ideal home, complete with indoor swimming pool and the conservatory kitted out in the style of a café/pub. The property was completely gutted internally, revealing many artifacts, which the owners went on to use, all the exposed beams you see now had been hidden, and the beautiful niche in the living room had been boarded over. The earth which at the back of the property had been up to first floor level, was landscaped to allow windows at the back on the ground floor, making the property light and airy. At every turn, inside the house, are features and aspects to make you smile, from the beach hut changing room at the side of the pool to the English pub atmosphere in the conservatory.
